​​​Rendering of The ContaineryWACO – A $4.3 million construction loan has been secured for The Containery, a retail conversion project at 319 S. Fourth St.

Private developer Bill Wetterman plans to convert an existing warehouse into a shopping destination with boutique retail and restaurant spaces.

His concept includes using steel shipping containers to create 25,000 sf of leasable retail space, the Waco Tribune-Herald previously reported.​

​​SAN ANTONIO – Atlanta​​-based Richmond Honan has purchased the nearly 300,000-sf ​​​Highpoint Towers. 

Built in 1983 and renovated in 2010, the two ten-story office buildings are at 8401 and 8415 Datapoint Dr. ​​​​

HFF handled the transaction. 

The sellers, locally based Red​rock and Austin-based Riverside Resources​, purchased the property in 2014 from ​​​​DNA Partners.

​​​DALLAS ​​​– Weir's Furniture and Four Rivers Capital are building a new retail and office tower on the furniture store's Knox St. site. 

The 297,000-sf high-rise at Knox and Travis Streets will include 250,000 sf of offices, a new Weir's store, and additional retail. Weir's will relocate temporarily​ when construction starts in early 2019.

The building will take 18 to 24 months to complete.

The project is the largest new building in the Knox Street District. 

The city council and planning commission have given full approval for the redevelopment. 

​​GARLAND – Massachusetts-based Barrett Distribution Centers has leased 115,041​​ sf in IDI Logistics' Garland Logistics Center at 3800 Leon Rd. 

NAI Robert​ Lynn and Transwestern negotiated the lease. 

Garland Logistics Center is a nearly half million-sf ​industrial project at the corner of Leon Rd. and Towngate Dr. near I-635.

​​​DALLAS – A partnership of locally based​​ Gault Co. and RTG Capital LLC has purchased a 170,000-sf office building on four acres at 5757 Alpha Rd. 

​​Formerly known as Alpha Tower, the high-rise will be renamed Northwood Tower. It was built in 1983 and is less than a third leased. 

​​Architects GFF and SMR Landscape Architects will design a renovation of the tower. The Renovation will be completed by the end of this year.
